Expert help in difficult times

NOTICE:

I am no longer able to accept new face to face clients in the Glasgow area as I have relocated to NEW ZEALAND.
I can usually offer online sessions to clients worldwide, except the USA or Canada, subject to time zone differences.

COVID: I am fully vaccinated and will not offer face to face sessions if I am unwell, have been asked to self isolate, or have visited a “place of interest”.
I also ask clients not to attend sessions if they are unwell or have visited a place of interest.
My consulting room is well ventilated, with an air purifier. Seating is at a 2 metre distance. Masks can be worn if preferred

My face to face sessions are in Wellington on Mondays and Tuesdays

I offer:

Help for individuals and couples facing challenges in their relationships, at work, with friends and with family.

I am a fully qualified and registered Psychotherapist and Counsellor with 40 years experience in short and long term therapeutic work with individuals and couples.

I enjoy working with a wide range of issues, especially those connected with times of change in people's lives: whether in relationships, work or personal aspirations. I particularly enjoy working with young people and artists from many fields. (Students and working artists with low income would be eligible for a reduction in fee).

I also enjoy working with older people as they make sense of their lives (appointments can be made in residential homes).

My therapeutic style is varied, depending on the issue presented and the client's own styles of thinking, relating and experiencing their emotions. My psychodynamic training leads me to understand current issues as they relate to earlier experience; yet I will also work with patterns that emerge from present stressors and experiences, using techniques from cognitive therapies.

Online Therapy is offered using Skype, Teams, Zoom, WhatsApp or WeChat
